The Life and Times of The Working Mum is BACK

I started writing The Life and Times of The Working Mum back in 2011. It began life as a place to document my own experiences in becoming a parent for the first time, and the gut wrenching feeling that took hold as I made me return to work back in July 2012.

Being a working parent is hard, and I never imagined having to split myself down the middle in the way's that I ultimately had to when the time came to head back to the day to day run of office life. For those of you who followed my own return to work, you know that it wasn't always such plain sailing and that there have been many instances that have tested my patience and strength.

Last year I took The Life and Times of The Working Mum in a new direction, and it was re-born under the new name Life Unexpected. It was still me behind the helm, but as I was part time at work these days and life seemed to be so very different. Life has again changed and I am now working for myself, I am blogging, writing, being around for Leo and following my fitness. You will no doubt be hearing much more from me over at Life Unexpected and I I decided that now was the time to re-launch this here blog and open it up to YOU and YOUR own personal experiences.

I want to hear about your working life, how you find that balance with the family, how your career changed when you did have children, and even your return to working life following maternity leave.

I want this blog to be a source of experiences for parents treading the path after us, so that they can realise that they aren't in this alone. That the guilt that pulls and stings is completely normal. That other women out there are and have been in their shoes.

If you have a story that you would like contribute, please do get in touch. I would love to hear your experiences.
